July 23, 2011:  

After 14-months, the TRS Banner finally found its way in to the Pacific Ocean. A group of TRS members celebrated as they met in Longbeach Washington to complete the banners mission. The banner started out in Worcester, MA on May 20th 2010, where it was dipped in the Atlantic Ocean by 'kmz1582'. The banner zig-zagged across the United States and even got dipped in the Gulf of Mexico. 

With the exception of mailing the banner to Worcester, MA to start it's journey, the banner was never mailed/shipped during this task. Instead, TRS Members used the TRS Forum to communicate with other forum members to coordinate the hand-off and movements of the banner.

This has been an amazing accomplishment by our members. As far as we know, no other online community/social network has accomplished a task such as this. It definitely shows the influence that online communities / social media has on our daily lives.

Ford Motor Company Social Media had been contacted since this was a unique social media first, but Ford never replied.

August 8th, 2011:

'Hahnsb2' passed the banner off to 'yodaman1151'. The banner is now in Milwaukie Oregon.

August 21, 2011:

'yodaman1151' passed the banner off to 'Cordless'. The banner is now in Sherwood, Oregon.

September 30th, 2011:

'Cordless' passed the banner off to 'thisfordsforu'.

October 1st, 2011:

'thisfordsforu' passed the banner off to 'Bennybooster' in Medford Oregon.

Bennybooster took the banner over to O'Reilly's Auto Parts and had Matt (forum member) sign the banner.

October 17th, 2011:

Bennybooster passed the banner off to 'Maverick' in Eureka, California.

October 19, 2011:

'Maverick' passed the banner off to '2004xlmiller' who will be taking it to Sacramento, California.

'2004xlmiller' stopped and let his friend Alex sign the banner.

October 22, 2011:

'2004xlmiller' met with 'stiluv', 'ben10' and 'b2rich' in Sacramento, California and passed the banner off to 'stiluv'.

November 1st, 2011:

'Stiluv' passed the banner off to 'ben10'. The banner is still in Sacramento, California.

November 20th, 2011:

'ben10' met with 'Sunk' and passed the banner off to him.

November 27th, 2011:

Sunk took the banner to Roseburg Oregon and photographed it at Chance's (Chance Bruggeman) gravesite.

December 1st, 2011

The banner was mailed back to TRS owner Jim Oaks after fulfilling its mission.
