I have been having some electrical probs with my ranger such as the wipers, dome light, 4X4 sys, seat belt and door ajar warning lights dont turn on at times. I suspect the gem(generic electronic module) may be failing. Does anyone know where this component is and how do I get it out?

Hi, Has anyone ever had to replace the instrument cluster or the programmable speedometer/odometer module? Believe it's somewhere in the dash.

I have a '97 Ford Ranger. The speedometer/odometer doesn't work at times. It is electrically controlled and the speedo/odometer are both mechanical. I replaced the sensor near the clutch/transfer case housings thinking the sensor could have been bad but the problem has started again. Wiring...
