  1. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

Lol, thanks @Ditman. I just started with the very first thing in the system since I knew the fuel pump and filter were brand new and pumping gas. I saw on some other forums talking about the MAF or cam position sensor so I figured I'd start at the beginning and work my way back and luckily it...
  2. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

Just an update. It ended up being the MAF sensor. Before I started getting too deep into it, I unplugged the sensor and the truck started and kept running, as soon as I plugged it back in, she died. Since it has 250,000 miles on it, I decided to just replace it instead of trying to run some...
  3. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

It's strange because it starts normally and goes into the normal cold high idle around upper 1,000's to 2k RPM then bogs down and stalls but when you fire it back up, it does the same thing over and over again.
  4. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

    No codes currently.
  5. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

With foot on the throttle when starting, she still dies.
  6. Starts then pretty much immediately dies....

Hey all, I have an '03 4x4 Edge with 250,000 miles on her. The truck has had a rough life but has been maintained as best as possible. I had some issues a few months ago which led me to the fuel pump. I put a brand new OEM fuel pump in as well as a brand new fuel filter and it ran great for a...
  7. Thanks for great info on here!...Long overdue maintenance

First off, thanks to all that have posted some great DIY info on here, charts, specs, how to's, etc... This is why I love forums more than just DIY youtube videos, although those are helpful too, forums like this just give you so much valuable information so you don't have to guess, make several...
  8. Brake light on dash, caliper touchy while braking

The brake light has been on for a while. Recently I noticed that if I have to hit the brakes a little hard, the driver side caliper really grabs and the tire might chirp a tiny bit. If I brake normally, it's not an issue. The wetter the roads, the more noticeable it is. No ABS light, just the...
  9. Replacing stock exhaust with over 242,000 miles

I am not sure if I really need to do this but I was curious about some budget friendly manifold back exhausts out there. I want a whole system that includes a cat, I wouldn't mind a little bit more rumble but nothing crazy, not sure where to start. Like I said, I'm not even sure this needs...
  10. New member, long time Ranger driver

Hello everyone. I was able to purchase my old work truck from my company. We treat lakes and ponds and don't get the luxury of boat ramps so these trucks are taken off road every day, towing 1500 pounds worth of treatment boat and trailer as well as at least 500 pounds of chemicals and gear in...
