Has anyone attempted to install either of these on an 83-85 2.8 Ranger? I am considering doing the duraspark conversion and install one of the TBFI systems on my 84.
The truck starts great and runs so long as the "choke" level of idle is maintained. Once warmed up if you keep a constant tap on the gas it will run.
Once you stop the tap action on the gas pedal it will die. Is this a vacuum issue? The "idle actuator" seems to be "stuck" not responding in...
Has anyone heard of this combo in an engine swap. I have an 84 Standard Cab short bed with a 2.8 that needs help. This engine would produce the HP and the torque to make the truck run pretty fine.
