Lack of equip & supplies & payment doesn't automatically make it a dry wash.
Definitely drive-thru wet wash session ... sponsored by Nature.
If water flow significant, downstream brushes could become involved & you could end up paying for the scrub with your fender quarters. :confused...
Forty degrees is probably too low for anything to work. you will need a heat source.
This stuff is expensive,about $30.00 a can.
Thanks, Lefty! Appreciate epoxy primer tip and will check it out. Have already started to look at paints (& primers) in local auto stores.
Understand primer cost...
Phew. Starting to get the idea.
Definitely learning a lot--day in the life of a dedicated ranger buff, etc.
Enjoying the camaraderie of all who join in the threads.
But still have some unanswered questions.
How do you get any work done between prep & modding & forum posts?
Seems like 24hrs...
Just installed my DeeZee tailgate damper yesterday.
Very simple. Works like a charm.
Yes, a bit slow, but great!
Slow tailgate drop doesn't let me down at all. :p
Only had to 'train' the regular cable (tweak it by gently putting a tiny S-bend in it) to quit sticking between damper...
Report: Transmission & Shifting - my new 22 Ranger XLT 4x4 Crew 2.3L ECO 5' bed, 10-spd.
On today's test drive (took sibling with me), mostly took it easy.
Did steady & careful 40 mph on small roads, 25-35 on some city streets (slower on turns), 60-65 return on main highways.
Mostly tested...
If a full Performance Tuner provides a separate, additionally valuable feature--like adjusting shift points and making shifting much smoother for my own relatively sedate travel habits--as well as a decent Pedal/Throttle mapping function, then I'd likely skip the Pedal/Throttle Enhancer and look...
Thx, Shran.
If detailed pedal/throttle mapping is at all possible (seems so: Ford has apparently done it for Default and maybe Sport settings), then 3rd party accessories should be able to safely custom_map such interaction until owner/driver is happy.
Many pedal/throttle enhancer devices...
Thanks, sgtsandman.
Had seen 'S' on shift select but wasn't sure what it was for.
Reading up on it now (watched a Ford youtube vid first), then will try it out.

In my limited driving thus far (new 2022 Ranger XLT Crew 5ft 4x4 2.3L Eco):
o Gas pedal interaction with Throttle very awkward at moderate speed.
o Noticed, then read about, throttle delay when pressing pedal.
o Some traffic conditions can be tight--available passing distance can be short.

Thanks dvdswan. Yep, I'm concerned, but not [yet!] a hypochondriac. o_O
Big investment not to protect (where reasonably possible) for the long run.
Good point regardless: not likely much road water or salt would get under hood in that bolt loc.
My personal new DD's have been 1) Pinto; 2)...
22 Ranger XLT. Preparing to install Redline Tuning hood struts.
Have several small questions on best rust-prevention method, if paint or primer (examples) added under replaced painted fender bolt (& washer).
Know little about rust-prevention or painting to prevent or inhibit rust.
Yet wish...
Thanks, RumPunch.
Appreciate speed feedback. Maybe better slow than fast ... when new.
Guessing could speed up after 'break-in' use or some sort of lube.
Or when temps improve in spring. [ I certainly will! ]
Did your DZ come with lube (or did you need/desire to use anything)?
Have read...
Hi to All. New memb. New Ranger.
Last Ranger lasted 18y. Still runnin' strong at trade-in (only 130k mi).
Hope to get 10y+ on new one (and some nice trips).
Already scoping out anti-rust plans, commencing with Krown protection.
Looking over small accessories (some on order, like hood struts)...
