  1. 1993 Exploder

I found an issue with the Exploder after I bought it, figures... Problem: Throttle. When I press the gas pedal down and release, the rpm shudder at 1300rpm before slowly settling at 1000rpm. The Ranger I had settled at about 750rpm. TPS or O2 sensors? Or could it possibly be the throttle...
  2. 4.0 STX Ranger

I just sold my regular 1994 Ranger 4x4 with a 4.0 and moved up to Alaska. I can't find much on the STX but I'm looking at a similar one to my old one up here. Is there any difference with the STX package than the regular one? They are both identical in everything. Just wondering about suspension...
  3. Transmission Overdrive

I have an automatic transmission. I live at 2,050' elevation and I drive daily to 5200', the problem comes at 3800' elevation. The RPM's remain at 2,800 doing 80mph on cruise control, even up the steep sunset hill. The RPMs remain the same until I reach 3800'. I have noticed this everyday that...
  4. Picked up a 94 4x4

It got heavy so I set it back down. Got it from an old guy in Flagstaff. 4.0L, Automatic, warn hubs, cloth dash cover, all original and ready for a lift. I was thinking of lifting it just enough and easy enough for some 33's and almost no cost. Suggestions?
  5. Lifting a 1994 Ranger

I have a 94 supercab 4x4 with the 4.0L. I was wondering if F-150 coil seats would make it able to fit some 33's. It is currently sporting 235/75R15's, all original. Just looking for an easier and cheaper way. This is my old 4x4 F-150 but it cost too much and took too long to lift it.
  6. Code: 172 (EGO?)

1994 Ranger 108k or 208k or 308k miles... The previous owner claimed it is at 108k. The CEL goes off and on when the motor is stressed. If I floor it, it doesn't go any faster but seems to lose speed but runs at 3000-3250 RPMs. I checked the catalytic converters today and they are not plugged...
  7. 1994 Ranger 4.0L auto w/some issues

-- Info: I just bought this bone stock 1994 Ford Ranger 4x4 supercab with 108K miles on it from an older guy in his 60's, who owned it for 6 + years. It has the 4.0L v6 with an automatic transmission. I have never owned anything older than a 2003 and this is the oldest truck I've owned. -- The...
