Hi everyone,

My wife and I just got a 1997 Ranger from her father's will. It's been sitting in the field for close to 14 years, however the body still looks solid. Looking forward to chatting with everyone as I start to bring it home and bring it back to life.

it has a 2.3 in it with a manual transmission but I want to rip that out and drop the 4.0 L V6 into it.

That's awesome! I too have a 97 that I had to resurrect. It's still not perfect but it does go down the road. I've enjoyed the experience and the truck. I've been able to get a lot of assistance from this site. I look forward to returning the favor. Good luck with your endeavor!
