Go to your local parts store, buy Sylvania's Silverstar, or CoolBlue, or Xtravision bubs, install, be happy.

Or buy PIAA bulbs for more $, but more light too.

If the housing is faded/yellowed, it can easily be replaced.

My credo
Toonces drives a Ranger . . . . just not very well.
The faded/yellowed housing is usually the biggest reason for low headlight output. I use plastic polish and an electric drill with a cloth polishing wheel to whizz 'em back clear. Makes a big difference in lighting up the road in front of you.

Try polishing your covers then. My '94 had the very worst headlights than than the older trucks I have, until I polished the plastic headlight covers.
At the very least, get some of the gritty toothpaste, like Crest, and a clean rag, and rub the crap out of them. It'll make a difference.

the 1989-'93 ranger/broncoII's headlights were undoubtedly the crappiest ever. even new. my dad had a '92 exlorer with the same headlights as the ranger and even on a clear night in the pitch black, the lights barely lit up the road.

I can see perfectly fine at night in my 94 Explorer (same lights as 92 Explorer), even with only the low beams on.
