My 93s f-150 tail gate seems to me twice as heavy as my 02 rangers tail gate ?

My credo
Its probably better to be self deprecating than self defecating.
It IS a much bigger gate after all..

Some people would think that same way about my hood too but my rangers hood seems heavyier than my f-150s hood

Your rangers hood is heavy composite (fiberglass) construction. The F-150 hood is lighter weight metal construction.

You should compare a metal Ranger hood to your the one on your F-150 and Ranger, it's much lighter. I was surprised then I put the composite hood on my Ranger, but it sure does look better.
