I am pretty sure I know the answer to this one too, but thought I would ask if anyone has come up with a clever way to beat this problem. I restored a Ranger I bought from my neighbor, and everything is now good and I am driving it every day now and REALLY like it. The only glitch is the fact that I am tall, and getting in means to contort my right leg under the steering wheel. No, there is no tilt steering wheel. The solutions are obvious. Install a tilt steering wheel or lower the seat. Or... is there some other way to beat this problem? PS... In my youth, I owned a Chevrolet Chevette.... cute car, no leg room. I moved the driver seat back three inches where it was butted up against the useless back seat.... plenty of leg room.... Suggestions about the Ranger welcome and appreciated.

its a single cab? you might be in trouble if it is since you already have the longer single cab versus the previous single cab styles.

Yes, it is a plain jane XL model..... I experimented a bit this morning getting in... and think I found a plan B that will work to get in and out easier.... It's just a matter of technique.... and practice.... Thanks for your help.

I also own a kitcar and had the same problem because the steering column I installed was a Pontiac tilt wheel but it still was awkward to get in and out.... Got sick of it, and installed a "cute" steering wheel that was popular in the 60s.... It worked great.... But I think on the Ranger, unless I went big on customizing it, the mini would look weird... will run it some more and maybe look to see if anyone sells an aftermarket tilt Ranger wheel...... who knows? Maybe? Have a good one.
