When I installed a douber in my truck I could no longer keep the factory transmission mount alive. I built one like this 5 plus years ago and it has held up great. Now that I have better tools I am making it better looking. It has the exact same dimensions as the factory mount so it is a bolt in replacement for the stock mount. I have it tacked welded now to to some test fitting before I weld it out. I plan on also test fitting it to my parents 95 ranger with an auto this week.

Here is attached to a 5 speed tail housing for mockup.

Next to a stock transmission mount.

Then the two separate pieces.

I wish I had mad fab skilz like you have. I can vision it in my gray matter just don't have the tools (welder and welding ability) to do right now. One of the days.

Anyway did you fab up any type of support for the doubler? I too got tired of ripping stock Trans and motor mounts so I purchased the ones AuotFab sells. I think that will solve that problem. I have just been using a block of rubber between an additional BII skid plate and the doubler to support it but been trying to come up with another idea. Thinking maybe an additional mount on some DOM that would bolt to frame and then to the transfer case. Need to spend some more time laying underneath the BII and working it out in my head before I decide.

I am thinking through a few different opinions. Once I do something I will post it. It is down the list a bit. I want to get my york compressor mounted first.
