What is the official name of the pressed-on stainless-steel designs that occupy the center of a Ranger rim...2002, and does one need special equipment to remove them...? (I tried a search for "glamour rings"....86.) Thanx for any info.

Google: 2002 ford ranger wheel center caps

If the lug nuts are not seen and no screws then they just pry off
Get a small piece of cardbord and a pry bar
Put cardboard on the wheel and hook pry bar under the center cap, and pry it up, then move to a new location across from last place and repeat

These caps have cups that fit over lug nuts, thats what is holding them in place, just friction

The factory tire change kit should have a rubber coated prybar incorporated into the lug wrench for removing the center caps.

Crown Vic Police Interceptors used the stamped metal "pancake" center caps, if that's the style your looking for, for a couple years, maybe 98-00, so if you're looking for a set, you may have better luck searching for "Crown Victoria center caps".

Here's a set. No special tools needed other than a flathead screwdriver or the end of the factory jack handle, as mentioned above. You will need collared lug nuts, however.
