  • I did have a check engine light, but I deleted my EGR and rear O2 sensors. My area doesn't check for emissions. You will need to use the donor's evap system, which mainly consists of a sensor in the fuel tank. This should be easily adaptable. If you plan to get a tuner any time in the near future, you can get a custom tune to delete the emissions from the ECU, which will not be detectable at the testing station, which is something I have looked into when I did my Trac V8 swap...
Thank you for your help. I don't know if your state has emissions testing or not but did you have any issues with your check engine light being on after the swap? I haven't done mine yet but sent the tranny out yesterday to have out rebuilt and have the new output shaft installed so I can keep the two speed t/case.
C115 connector (42 pin above intake) is plug n play. The C149 connector (12 pin under abs pump) will need repinned, just match the wire colors, this is your oil pressure, alternator and AC compressor clutch circuits. One of them, I think the 4.0 motor, also had a low oil level sender wire, which will not be used. Repin the engine side of the plug, not the vehicle side...
