So i called my local pepboys they didnt have a clue, then i called my local ford dealership and i get this guy that takes forever, barely speaks english, and gave me an answer saying about this much so i didnt really trust him. Now with that said i have a 94 ranger 4.0 4x4 if that matters and i am trying to find how much power steering fluid the whole power steering system holds so i can flush it in my auto class?

the ford guy said about a liter which is basically a quart which is what i thought it would hold

And just to make sure since i am already on here asking a question it takes atf type f right?

thanks

I recall mine being right about 1 quart. Type F is what the '94 manual calls for, though I would think Mercon would be fine too ('95 or '96 they actually switched the spec to Mercon, but AFAIK nothing was changed in the PS system itself).
