here's what poured out of my cat when i took it out:

2.9's may be different than 2.8's, but there were 2 cats on my b2. autozone had a new one for $240....like hell i was paying that. i found a universal replacement for $50 online and bought that. also got headers. all i need now is a muffler and i'm ready to throw the old 2.9 back in.

that's AWESOME that you live in the middle of nowhere, enjoy it while you can. if you leave, you'll miss it

My exhaust system is a 2.3 liter hooked to my 2.8, ditched the 2.3 as it had no power, had to make the CAT custom mount to the 2.8 Y-pipe. I put in a exhaust gasket today but still leakes (but is a bit quieter) so I have to dual gasket it and the bolt joint before the muffler needs one too. I dont have to have a CAT but it was still new so I decided to use it.

Factory 2.8 exhaust systems have 1 CAT.

well guys got alot done today, painted and installed my new dash pad, got my lights wired up and made a new switch panel. well i earned $125 from selling a snowmobile motor for $50 and sold my parts truck for $75 to another guy on here. well here are some pics, i think its coming along nice, gotta get some black zip ties for the back. and gotta finnish my bumper before i can mark where those lights that i got from the shop are going. the other ones are gonna be welded to the bumper for back up lights

ok i have a question guys, when i put the lights on the front, where should i tap into for power? on the other lights i wired up i taped into the wire that goes to my push button, i dont want to tap into it again, because me and my dad both think it would be too mmuch stress for 1 wire, and i would blow a lot of fuses

if the lights are going on the bumper up front, i'd run it straight to the battery. with the appropriate fuses and relay's inline of course..

tech library has a good write up too
