What changes do I need for a Dana 35 Ford 8.8 in a 1987 Ford Ranger?

You may have to shorten the front drive shaft. I installed the 6 inch lift when I swapped mine so I didnt need to shorten the shaft.

As far as the rear if its a ranger 8.8 its bolt in swap other then the flange on the dif. You will have to swap the one off your old axle or run a conversion joint. Or you can do what i did and use the drive shaft of the newer truck and mate it with you stock one.

It only bolts in after you weld on spring perches and shock brackets.

he said if you use a RANGER 8.8, which is already SOA...

explorer 8.8's need the perches flipped and shock tabs welded on to bolt in a ranger or b2.

EDIT: The link I posted didn't say what I thought....

I believe it's a 1330-1310 joint though.
