So im 16 i cant come up with 4000 bucks right now... So i was woundering if this could work of the two options.
1) I get a supention lift and instead of 4 normal shocks i put in some FOx racing shocks plues maby add one or two more shocks on each wheel?
2) I have a 3" Body lift and what if i took off my shocks and put on 4 Fox racing shocks?

Also tell me what you think and give me some ideas please!
I will goig in a little mud and alot of sand also both with jumps tho:icon_confused:

Pinching pennies are we? Hah Who isn't i definitely am as well, but there are a few different ways you can go to save some money.

Get extended beams. There are a few guys on here that can do this for you and it wont cost as much. BUT be sure you get someone that is reputable.

You will need some sort of engine cage or shock hoops to mount those coilovers to but depending on what kind of suspension you were going to get you will still be saving money and get better performance going this route.

Now for the rear of the truck you can flip the hangers and use 64" leaf springs arced 12" to lower the ride height and get loads more wheel travel. You would need a bed cage as well but if you can weld and bend some tube you could belt one out fairly easily just read, learn, then build.

check out www.dezertrangers.com its a great site for information

well he has a 99 so he has a-arms, the rear suspension will work but the front, sry no beams. there is a dude on here that got second hands from truckin suspensions(http://www.airbagit.com/product-p/x2-car-fr9800c.htm) new they are more expensive but still not 4000 so this is about the cheapest ive seen so either this or bust, coilover are really not guna help with a BL cause the up travel which you need is not changed. you might get by with a 3 in. coil lift and stiff shocks

again he prolly doesn't have torsion bars it is a 99 3.0l XLT same as mine just a 99 instead of a 00 so he prolly has coils

Good call, for some reason I was thinking 2wd edge.

Contact BTF fab and ask about their mid travel kit. Great quality for a fraction of the price of some other companies. You can contact them via dezertrangers. Also, keep an eye out for used kits, that can save you tons of money also

Ya i didnt look at the year my bad dont know much about A arms.

that kit you posted will not hold up to jumps. It has been discussed on other forums. Seriously look into a mid travel kit and upgrade when your budget and driving skills increase.

A bedcages main purpose is to create a mounting position for a longer shock. The fiberglass fenders are used because we would destroy the factory fenders when the wheel was at full bump (all the way up). Some states also require that the tires must be completely covered by some sort of fender, and the flair on the fiberglass covers that

Okay man thanks well is that the cheapest way to go? Because i still dont have that much money i have 500 bucks right now and i make 8.55 a hour and im 17 so i am only allowed to work 20 hours a week because of child labor laws and school! So are you sure there isnt anything else i could do?

there lots of cheap, nearly free tricks you can do to get a little more travel, read through the posts and you will find tips and tricks, research is your best tool, flipping your rear hangers and ditching your sway bar will give you a bit more travel with loosing to much drivability

How would this preforme on the street??? Because i still need to drive to and from work!
Also i have a 3" Body lift and 31" M/T tires. Is there anything i can do wth these mods?
Also my question still hasnt been answerd If i took out the body lift and replaced it with a suspention lift Would this give me more travel?:icon_confused:

the bodylift will allow for more up travel to avoid the tires from hitting the fenders, keep the bodyliift on.
