instead of using stacked washers under the coils, why wouldn't hockey pucks work as well? they are 3" in diameter, 1 inch thick, and easily drilled out in the center. i've had them as a body lift on my trail rig for 2 years now without any problems: no cracking, drying out, shifting, etc. just wondering.

Give it a shot.

But Washers will never deteriorate, they're cheap, and you can adjust the height. Seems like the best option to me.

there's a lot more weight under that coil than what your body mounts are encountering. not sure how they would hold up. i say try it, and keep an eye on it.

stacked washers or... how about u get a real lift or nothing at all!

safety first especially when you can blame someone else.

i would put a washer on each side of the puck to keep it from smashing down the daystar spacers are 80 to 90 dollars and you get 2in of lift or just stack 2 pucks its probably cheaper.

I doubt from a junkyard they would.

even if its more then 5 dollars you won't have to worry about them deteriorating or getting crushed from the weight of the truck

yeah, those f-150 spacers are about $100 for the pair, someone should update that article. on top of that ford cant get them anymore. out of curiosity, how long is the bolt on the 4x4s axle beam? on my 2wd its a 3/4" x 8" grade 8. i can only get about a 1" spacer on it before i run out of thread for the nut.

i was at the dealer ship not to long ago an the can get them for 17$ each

15 each here new from the dealer

I'd spend 20 dollars in gas looking for a dang hockey puck while passing three junkyards around here.
