I picked a spot, cut a triangle out of the c channel top and bottom and bent it in and re-welded it back together.

How will it hold up? Only as good as my welds and the supports I tie into it.

I did place another order today with Dan from RuffStuff, got the 63" leaf spring kit coming.

My ruffstuff 63" kit came today. Looks Like I can get the rear end squared away tomorrow.

Got the rear axle in place and just about done. The rear hangar is 100% mounted yet. Wanna wait till I get more of the truck done before I mount it final as to get the shackle angle right.

Ride height changed from where I was thinking I would end up. Its gonna be tall. But not really any taller then my last truggy. When I 3 link and 4 link it down the road I will lower it down, but for now it will be tall.

Didn't get as much done as I wanted, my 4.5" angle grinder pooped out and I had to go buy a new one, then I ran out of wire and had to run and get a new spool to. So two trips into town set my time back on the day :(.

Here's some shots

Didn't push the front tire as far forward as initial plan called for, I positioned it close to the cab and just didn't like the way it sat and looked so I decided to move the axle further back increasing my wheelbase. I think I am around 119" now.

Weight on the front, trying to simulate the front clip, winch etc on the front suspension to help try and set ride height up front.

Looking good. I am hoping to get a project going for myself someday here. Build threads like this inspire me :headbang:

I have the week off from work so I plan to get a ton of work done on the truck this week and hopefully atleast driveable by weeks end.

Working on the front frame rails a bit.

Anybody know the part number for the belt on a 5.8L pictured above but minus the air pump?

Finally cut the rear extra frame off tonight. This is also where the stock rear tank is gonna end up. Keeping the tank secured to the factory crossmembers and attaching the crossmembers to the frame.

I also got the floor opened up in the cab for the tcase shifter. Apperently unlike explorers, rangers, and B2's the 2wd f-series do not have the removable floor section for shifters for tcases and 5 spds. I had to cut the outline of where it would of been and removed the section.

They have nothing on a 2wd auto truck like you started with. All 4x4 and standard trucks have that removable panel. You can always go to a jy and get one to save from having to make it.

Well got a little done, Bought a bunch of parts today. Got my seats installed. A buddy came over and shed some insight and help on mounting my relocated gear box and trac bar position. Hope to get the truck steerable tomorrow so I can push it out of the garage and turn it around so I can work on getting the front clip on.

I need to trim the core support it doesn't fit betweeen the frame rails anymore lol. Good thing I got a new radiator.

You can see in the fender were it "was" and where it is.

Core support needs to be dropped to line everything up.

Lookin great, man! I'll have to check er out sometime, from the looks of it when i drove by the other day you had a few projects goin on. white ranger truggy and a newer F-250?

White ranger is a buddies (alboy79 on here) he was getting 4.56s replaced with 5.13's in his 44/9.

The white o3 superduty was getting 4 balljoints.

I am hitting the wall....4 days straight of virtually all daytime working on it I am burning out. Hard to stay motivated.

But I got a little done today...

The core support was trimmed so I could get the height right and got the radiator mounted for the most part. The gear box interefered with the radiator and the frame rail spacing was havoc as hell. I ended up adding another inch to the body mounts. I now have 2"s of Body lift on it. But atleast with the body lift I no longer have to modify my floor in the cab to clear the 205. I have NO IDEA how I am gonna pull off the pinch on the front end.

Today was a visually unstimulated day. I got all my brakes done with the exception of two copper washers for the pass side caliper. Get two seals tomorrow and then I can bleed the brakes. Also got my shocks mounted on the front as well.
