So I've been working on my ranger for awhile and finally decided to make a build thread. I bought it April 2009 and with what money I've had I started building. It is 2wd and has a 3.0 (will be a 5.0 one day). Also came with a 8.8 with 4.10s
bone stock

First thing I added was a set a cragar 342 wheels 16x7

Then I picked up some HIDS from DDM and I couldn't love them any more

Next thing that came was my K&N intake, people argue if it adds power or not but I like the noise :headbang:

Ordered a cherry bomb glasspack for 30$ and had a custom cat back made that dumps before the rear axle. Loud and proud! Also blacked out my tail lights and corners

Next came a torsion crank and new tires! Procomp xtreme a/t (LT265/75R16)

Then I decided to get a superchips tuner and power pulleys to add a little bit more power

Then did some little stuff inside the truck like changing the dash to blue leds, added 2 10" subs with a 800w amp, a trans temp gauge, and a cb radio

Then I started lifting, got belltech 6400 shackles and rancho shocks all around

Then the latest thing was the fabtech spindles =) They gave me more lift then I though so I lowered the torsion bars to level it our but still left the front a little higher, but derp now they are too close to the bump stops so ill be ordering an add-a-leaf this weekend so i can crank them back up :headbang:
before

after

Ill keep updating as I keep upgrading!

Nice looking truck! I love my intake too, regardless if it adds power, it sounds awesome.

Couple questions though. How do you like your HID kit from DDM, looking to buy some from there but I haven't really heard anything about them. Also, how much did you crank your torsion bars to fit those tires?

DDM HIDs are awesome, got em in my truck, my sisters car, my motorcycle, and a bunch of my friends cars, the only thing is shipping is a little pricey so when i do order from there i order with a bunch of people to cut the costs. So far I've only tried the 35w but they are definitely bright enough.

I cranked the torsion bars so the truck was 1/2 inch lower in the front then the rear. The tires never even came close to rubbing.

Did you get the high/low kit for the head lights? I'm stuck between ordering those or just the normal kit.

scott - I live in rahway on the border of linden, 3 towns away from newark.

hoosier - You're a lucky man, I'll def be checking your build thread. I got a couple things I I'm gonna do before the swap but i cant wait to do it! how was the wiring and do the stock gauge still work? that was the only things i was worried about.

DDM has awesome quality stuff! shipping was a little slower than i would like/expect but not unresonable at all..

truck looks good, personally i like the stock rims more... about the only stock ranger rim i like is that one. but regardless, looks great.

Got time to go put the add-a-leaf in today =)

Up in the air the brake lines and everything are not stressed so everything is good! Just gotta check the drive shaft angle once the snow goes away

Over the weekend I slapped a new upper control arm on because my bushings were shot. Also cranked the t-bars and got it aligned. Final product!

I think I might be able to clear 35s, still got a lot of life left on my tires though
