I've been busy last few days trying to get the ranger running better.
So far I have tested the TPS, MAF, and both seem to be working correctly. I also cleaned the crap out of the IAC again and that seems to be working again for now.
I went ahead and put new plug wires on. They were the original wires from 93 with 196k miles on them, I had no idea they were original. I also pulled all the plugs and they all looked normal except for one, it had a gap of .080 and was super black. Either its running rich on that cylinder or had a bad plug. All the rest were gap at .055-.060. With the new plug wires and a bottle of Lucas injector cleaner in the tank seemed to make it run much, MUCH better.
Also checked the fuel pressure yesterday and it holds press at 60psi even while running, is that normal pressures?
Also yesterday, my good friend Matt at GetBent Kustoms cut out an exhaust flange that goes between the y pipe and cat so I can bypass the cats to see if they are the problem.
Today I ordered 3" and 2.5" exhaust pipe. 3" is for the snorkel and 2.5 for the cat delete.
