clutch issues..

as you all know i did the A4LD to M5OD swap in my 1990 ranger.
we swapped the pedals in and went to put in the new master cylinder and got it all installed. started the bleeding process, and noticed fluid leaking out of the part of the master cylinder where the pushrod goes in. thought it was a bad one so took it back to the junkyard and got another one. this one looked to be in good shape. no leaks or anything. installed it and again began bleeding process, no leaks until a few minutes after pumping and stuff. started leaking out of the same spot. WTF, the angle on the pushrod looked to be a little tweaked for some odd reason, figure maybe the angle that its at may be causing the seals in the master cylinder to wear out?
and another problem... when the second master cyl started to build prssure i tried to disengage the clutch and the motor idles down...?

Lower idle with clutch pedal in could mean throwout bearing problem, this usually produces a noise as well.
Can you shift into 1st easily, i.e. with engine running trans in neutral clutch pedal out, push clutch pedal in and shift to 1st...does it go in to 1st easily.
If not clutch is not fully disengaged from flywheel.

going to the stealership to get this replaced with brand new parts haha.

and as for the low idle with the clutch in, everything in there is brand new, flywheel, clutch kit, slave cyl, to bearing, pilot bearing.....maybe it could be because we didnt bleed the clutch fully?

How come you didn't buy the hydraulic components new? I would never use a master/slave from the junkyard. Almost guarenteed not to work.

Hey as long as the tranny doesn't have to come out to replace it...
