Off idle hesitation...

By the way.. I only get the hesitation if i really mat the pedal to the floor to rev the truck.. If i do it gently it revs just fine.. Cleaned the MAF and it still does it.. Not as badly but still there.. IDK WTF to do now.. Bought this truck to sell and make some cash on.. running out of options and it will be hard to sell the thing if it does this.. reving it up is the first thing someone does when the test drive a truck.. HELP

how are the plugs and wires? also start checking for vacumm leaks.

get some wd-40 and spray all the vacumm lines. when the idle goes up, then you found a leak.

to answer your question, it is rare for a dirty MAF to throw a code. thats why people often point to it first, not to mention cleaning it only costs a can of cleaner and 5 minutes. I dont know why but my .3 stumbles a bit if i floor it from idle too. it never affects the driveablity of the vehicle though. If you're planning on selling it i'm sure no one would even notice. And don't worry about bob, he always wants to start a pissing match the first time he sees "K&N" in someones post.

Yeah i think he must work for purolator or something.. Anyway.. i replaced the plugs last week, pulled the exhaust side ones and they seem to be even burn and nothing out of the ordinary.. the old ones looked ok.. like it was burning a little rich but ok other than that.. One other odd symptom is that the truck cranks a little longer in the mornings.. Like it takes a while to get fuel to the thing.. Any corolation or just coincidence?? I think i may just paint the thing and say :thefinger:
