Yes physically it will fit, but IIRC you need to swap out the transmission and transfer case for units that bolt up to and can handle the power of a V8.

There are plenty of v-8 swaps done in rangers... search and you'll find a bundle to get ideas from

Never worked on a v-8 ranger. But still I understand what I need to do whenever I decide I need one in my ranger or in another project. Not wanting to argue or anything, just explaining my reasoning.
