OK, I have thought long and hard about doing this. I have started to gather parts and hope to start this when the weather breaks (no more snow).I have a budget of $1500.00 and should be no problem. Since I have not upgraded my axles yet, it's gonna be stock for now.

I have two engine choices, A 1972 torino 302 or a 1987 lincoln 302. The 72 needs rebuilt and the 87 is a junkyard pull. I am leaning towards the 87 due to time and budget. I'm doing a carb swap, might do EFI at a later time.

Transmission is gonna be a np435 and an np205 transfer case out of a 87 F-250.

The parts that I have on the way are:

3' body lift
timing gear set
oil filter reloaction kit
HEI style distributor

Still looking for an oil pan ( hopefully on the lincoln) Radiator, motor mounts, fuel pump, 15 gl fuel tank, and a carbed sending unit.

I'm going to try the mustang motor mounts. Been alot of question about them, So we'll see if the drop right in.

Don't have pics yet, but I will post some of the build.

Might not be any pictures, Can't get TRS to upload the here LOL....

an 87 F250 wouldnt have an NP205. it should have BG1356 which or your application would still work well.

Hmmm

I was told it was a 205.. Well see. For $200 for trans, transfer case, drive shafts and what ever else I need off the truck, I won't complain if it's not a 205. Besides if it's not a 205 that's an easy swap with a 435 trans...As far as posting pics... Join the group.....MUCH easier to post pics there........................:icon_surprised:

OOHH, I just ended the thread..........JOIN THE GROUP...........

actually the 1356 will have a lower low range then the 205 and in your application will be plenty strong and lighter to boot. i wouldnt bother with a 205 unless you plan on going the doubler route adding a 203 to the front.
