93 Chevy surburban transmission failure?


you need to pull the transmission, something is broken. transmission pumps don't have a total failure
 
The true 4l60e service manual is very simple.

step 1: change fluid every 40,000-50,000 miles.

step 2: rebuild entire transmission every 60,000-70,000 miles
 
Have an update to this owner pulled transmission and transfer out Sunday and took it to the transmission guru we know and he had said earlier that the front pump had went out, so we will see.
 
Cousin told me this last night it is time to look for another 4
L60E due to broken bands and ect in the transmission, not the pump after all. parts only were up to 900.00, not counting any labor for the guru. So I guess I'll start calling around to see if any local salvage yards have one in stock.:sad:
 
I have had the pump on a 4l60e lock up and break the collar off of the torque converter, it was very wierd, took the pump out and it seemed fine, so i put a new torque converter on and drove the truck for a year lol never a problem after that.
