was mising on number three cylinder

found a bad plug wire. now truck runs fairly well but now #3 cylinder is firing on the exhaust side but not on intake side.
one coil is not producing spark on the #3 tower but is on the #2 tower.
it has a new coil and have swapped coils. but #3 still does not fire at the coil
what could be the problem. the signal wire flashes like it is supposed to for #2#3 side and it flashes for the #1 #4 side. so what gives. can anyone help me

Couple of things:

When starting the 2.3l/2.5l engines only the exhaust side coil works, intake side coil won't start until RPMs are above 400-500

And how are you checking for spark?
Timing light connected to #3 wire with engine running is about the only way.

Because of the Waste Spark system used by Ford the 2 spark plugs on the 1 coil are wired in series, so if you pull off a plug wire to test for spark it may not spark because you have broken the series connection.
