HI guys, first post here great site, anyways I`m thinking about my 2001 ranger 3.0 4x4 I would to like swap my 3.0 to the 4.0 OHV I had a explorer that had shoc 4.0 and with the issues that motor has, I prefer not to go to the sohc motor, I have a 1999 ranger 4x4 with the 4.0 OHV that just turn over the 200000 mark and sounds very quite compared to my shoc that only had 80000 miles, so has anyone done this , I figure it would be pretty straight forward swap I know I would have to swap the engine and trans, I did a 5.0 ho swap on my 92 ranger stx 4x4 ext cab. about 5 years ago, so I know how to do swaps I was just wondering anyone had done the 4.0 swap in a 2001 ranger that had the 3.0 thanks
