Not much of a build thread but something i can go back to really...
Its my 1st truck and 1st ranger and 1st Project so cut me a little slacklol:yahoo:

Service I have done-
Rebuilt Carb,Timing,Belts,New Dist Cap, New Plugs, New Wires, New Fuel and Oil Filter, Changed oil,

Mods i have done- Bull Guard, 85 alum dash, JVC Deck, Sony Explods speakers, New Carpet, New Headliner

Thats about all ill edit this post anytime something cool happens but im taking my time and getting to know my truck!


The Day I Bought My 1st Truck

85 Brushed Alum in an 83 Looks good!



Replaced valve stem seals, Cleaned out intake crossover passages out to get a functional EGR, Changed TPSl, New o2, New Exhaust pipe

Got alot done!!!

Newer Driveshaft and Welded in new muffler


New Bullguard with soon to be mounted lights and ford modification will post one big after pic later!


Fuse block for CB, Offroad lights, and other misc things Wired for KEY IN ON only... tired of killing my battery lol


AND.... DRUM ROLL PLEASE!
My 8.8 was dropped off at 9pm... Donor was a 99 explorer with discs, driveshaft, leafs and shackles, tires and rims
All for 100$
Ya i know i scored pretty good!


UPDATE 10/25/09
As she sits today! 31's, New front bumper up, New mirrors, New interior

UPDATE 11/2/09

New subs (subs are 8" and was $9.00 on clearanceX2) (wood for my box was $7) (amp was $40 ) for a total of $65 setup that POUNDS

Form the looks of it you dont have an intermittin windshield wiper switch. I know its not important but it is nice to have and it plugs right in to the original connector and works. Im putting broncho ll doors on mine so i can have the little triangle windows and later goin to put an 89-94 explorer dash in mine. But ya your interior looks great and better then mine. Hope to see more on your truck!

It looks 10x better now after certain modifications and a wash... the 1st pic was the day i bought it and had not done anything...

Working on my bull guard now...

But main focus is trying to get it to run right... im having a idle problem... Once i get that straight i can do what i want...

Nice truck to start with, love the first gens. I kinda like the fo-wood dash cover a little better tho. What motor is in that I'm guessing 2.0 0r 2.3 being thats its a '83

But thanks.. i love em too i had always wanted one till a good deal came around and scooped it up...

And the FO-Wood Was The First thing to go for me that thing was FUGLY! haha IMO of coarse

Update: Did my valve stem seals, Cleaned and painted intake mani, Painted valve covers and dist cap, New T-stat, New Rad Cap, New muffler, New o2 Sensor, New Seat covers,
