I hope you can help me where the Bellevue Wa Ford dealer couldn't:

Whats the size (head, thread and length) of the top starter mount bolt on a 94 xlt with the 4liter engine? Some ninny (ahem) lost it mid starter project... I went down to pay the dealer 5 or 10 bucks and he said he could get it in three days. I asked what size it was and he looked intently at his screen for several minutes and said "I don't know". I really need my truck back, anybody help? The dealer thinks it's part W506510*S437M and seemed to think Tacoma Screw could cross reference his part number. I'm skeptical.

As far as I know all the bolts are the same. Go to the local hardware store and get a couple more

15 mm head, I believe the thread is 10x1.25, but I am not 100% on that. Length is around 30 to 35 mm.

The two bolts are the same head, thread and length, just the one has a stud on it for the ground cable, so if you only lost one take the other one to the store to try and find a replacement. The only problem you might run into is that most standard hardware bolts in that size have a 17mm head, which I know from experience is a very tight fit to the 4.0 starter. I was only ever able to get those in using a stubby open-ended wrench.
