This is my first time on a discussion forum.
I am looking to convert my 86 ranger from drum to disk breaks. I plan to change my rear axle from a stock 7.5 with drums to 8.8 with disk breaks.
Does the proportioning valve need to be changed? If so, what donor vehicle do I need to get it from? And are there any other parts I need for my conversion.

No prop valve to be changed.

I put a non-ABS master cylinder from a 95 Explorer in mine when I did that conversion and it has been working well. I have seen a lot of people say there is no need, but I figured my master was already almost 30 years old, so it couldn't hurt to replace it anyway.
