Does anybody know if there are different dip stick lengths. I can':icon_confused:t get a reading on my dip stick just a film of oil that goes way past the fill line. I am putting 5 quarts of oil in. I have two trucks that I am building into one. One is an automatic and the one I am driving is a 5 speed 4 x 4.

Well I dug thru my parts and found another dipstick. They are different lengths. The one I had in my running truck was over one inch longer.

Based on my case study of both the manual trans B2's in my yard, I would say there is a difference between the '86 EGR 2.9 and the '89 2.9. The early one has the yellow loop, and the Gen 2 is the plastic T, definitely different by a little.

Mine arm the same as far as the yellow loop but the length is not. I think the air conditioners are longer.

Both are factory AC, probably related to being Eddie Bower trimmed.
