OK I have an 86 Bronco II, and I am finishing up the engine swap my sons started.
Anyway, there is a connector on the passenger side under the air box, that I can't figure out where it goes. It comes out of the harness with the relays.
It looks just like a connector on an o2 sensor, except it has 4 wires.
It is also the same connector as the one for the injector harness and the knock sensor harness. I know I got the injector harness connectors correct, and I am not using the knock sensor.

The wires are listed here the best I can figure, since they are faded.
1. black/white
2. green/white
3. tan/red
4. tan/orange

I can't recall which colors correspond with which EEC pin, but 2 beep on pin 58 and 59, one beeps on 57 , and one on 22.

Here is what the connector looks like minus the o2 sensor and it has 4 pins.

Aside from the fact that I am pretty sure my dizzy in off (son put it in). I can't figure out this connector, the inside looks clean so I am pretty sure it was connected to something.

I hope someone can help me out.
Thanks.

Not necessarily right but according to a diagram I found on the auto repair reference center:

Pin # -- Color -- Part
22 -- Tan/Lt Grn -- Fuel Pump Relay
57 -- Red -- Many things (Fuel Injectors, EGR Solenoid, Converter Clutch Solenoid...)
58 -- Dk. Blu -- TFI Module
59 -- Tan/Red -- Fuel Injectors (One bank only)

That seems like a pretty unusual list of things to be in a connector together.

I wish you luck with it.

I don't think it actually connects to anything. I think it is just there.

It may be a diagnotic with the fuel pump, tfi, and injectors to test power.

Appreciate the responses. Yeah I didn't think it was connected to anything either. But it didn't have the same level of crud in it that everything else had so I figured it went to something.
It was probably just capped, and the cap got lost in the swap.

I will fix my dizzy today and we will see how it works out.

Thanks.

For the people that were curious. The connector is not needed.
Once I got the dizzy right and figured out that the lose green wire went to the coil. She ran great
I found a little trick to getting TDC,
Take the squeeze bulb off one of those kids medicine droppers.
Looks like this.

Fits nice and snug in the spark plug hole.

Turn the crank until you hear the bulb go pop.

Now on to the exhaust leaks and freeze plugs.

Cheers.
