My '01 Ranger hasn't had operating ABS in nearly 10 years. It was wrecked last September. The truck is doing farm duty now.The 4 wheel ABS module/pump is leaking and sucking air into the system.I took it to a local shop. After they diagnosed and priced the replacement, plus two wheel sensors,I said no thanks. The shop owner said he bypassed his module/pump with steel lines and couplers. He can't do it due to liability.Has anyone done this?

Just a friendly bump to see if anyone can advise on eliminating the antilock brakes on this truck.

I haven't done it, but it is doable. Just re-route the lines around the module instead of through it. At that point it will operate as if it doesn't have ABS.
