The story so far...New crank sensor, cam sensor, fuel pump, fuses and relay. Started and ran fine. Next day it started and ran for a second and died. Hooked up my scan tool and i get p1000. I can hear the pump prime so that seems ok(inertia switch button down) and i tried starting it with the TPS unplugged but nothing. The tool says"On Board Diagnostics II Monitor/Drive Cycle Test Not Complete" and no matter how many times i try i cant get past it. Thoughts? Thanks!

Did some fiddling with the scan tool and was able to enter the particulars of the truck manually but shows no stored codes. Great..I doesn't run and apparently there's nothing wrong with it.

Lots of things will stop it running without codes.

You have done about 1/8th of the basic checks for a no-start condition, and you started at the end of the list.

You said the fuel pump primes, but do you have pressure? Is fuel making it to the cylinders? Do you have spark? Did a mouse build a nest in your intake tube blocking all the air?

I have seen many crazy things shut down these Duratec engines, some of which shouldn't be able to if you believe the guys who built the engine.

Start by shooting some starting fluid into the throttle body and see if she will fire on that. If it does the injectors aren't firing. If it doesn't you don't have spark.

If you don't have spark check your crank sensor. Hook your volt meter to the pins on the sensor and see if it makes AC voltage while cranking.

I saw a Focus around your year with the 2.3L that had a bad cam sensor and that took out the ignition, even though Ford says the cam sensor isn't involved in the ignition.
