I'm planning on adding a t3/t4 hybrid turbo to my 93 4.0 and I have some general questions about these motors.
Do these have a forged assembly? I've read this online before but I can't seem to find out for sure.
Is the exhaust bolt pattern the same between the ohv and sohc? It would be easier to buy some generic ebay headers for a later motor and modify them than my cast iron manifolds. The pacesetters for the early ones are just too much for me to justify on this project when I'm going to cut them up.
Does the injector color mean anything on these? I have the red ones and the guy I got it from seemed to think they were better. I think they're probably stock.
What is the compression ratio on a 93 4.0? I believe it's around 9:1 but they had some variation in heads and I know my pistons are flat tops.
I think that's it for now off the top of my head. I'll be running a megasquirt with an intercooler in case anyone is curious.
