After checking everything else to solve my starting problems ( it would start right away if cold and after attaining normal operating temperature) I decided to replace the TPI (Throttle Position Indicator). After doing so it now starts and runs very smooth with good acceleration. The TPI is very easy to get to and costs around $60.

I previously had the starter, relay and solenoid checked and they were all good. Hope this helps others with starter and smooth running problems.

Would it start instantly when cold but take longer when it was warm? I'm having that problem and im not sure how to solve it
