My credo
I need more sleep.
Today my ABS light turned on with my parking brake light, and after I shut off my truck and restarted it both lights turned back off and haven't come on since. Is it something I should worry about?

Well, as a general principle I feel better about driving a vehicle, particularly in bad conditions, when I know the ABS isn't working at all. In fact on any vehicle I own where it is practical I disable it.

Check the fluid level. That red brake light is for more than just the parking brake. If the fluid level is ok forget about it, the module is probably dying.

You know I noticed when the ABS light was on it would stop so easy on the ice and snow and when the light is off the pedal gives wierd feedback. I checked the plug on the back of the axle housing and made sure it wasn't loose. Fluid levels are fine.

Well the feedback is normal for ABS operation. My thing with ABS is that it can be squirelly. I learned to drive without it and can count on one hand the number of times I found it useful. And that is a situation I could have handled on my own if the ABS would have let me.
