is this a good axle to go with? i can buy a whole truck for 400 dollars, and the axle shafts in this model are much stronger than f150 or broncos, and it has disk brake, the only problem is it is low pinion. would this be an issue, if i was going to do an sas with about 8 inches of lift? has anyone ever done this? would i need a lengthened driveshaft? any info appreciated, thanks.

I would try for a HP IMO.

axles arent any stronger, and its not quite as desirable of an axle. I would keep shopping.

I'm currently building the same style axle, mine is a 77.5 year, but still LP. There are a couple of members that have used this axle in their rigs, but not many. IIRC, all have used leafs since this axle was already setup for leafs. I'm building mine for coil spring setup, as well as narrowing to near ranger width. I'm looking at anywhere from 10 to 14 inches of lift, and while HP would be preferred, LP is still possible to use, you just have to make sure you have your pinion angle is within tolerance
