Just got my new timing chain set. Haynes gives me NO CLUE as to alignment of timing marks. All it says is crank timing mark flaces up. Which way does cam timing dot face?

Do both marks (dots) face 12 o'clock, or do they face each other (cam @ 6 o'clock and crank at 12 o'clock? I've been to the end of the internet and back and found no clear diagram.... HELP!

Either would work since cam turns once for every 2 turns of the crank.

So crank at 12:00 will come up when cam mark is at 6:00 and 12:00

I would set it at 6:00 so marks are pointed at each other
