so I'm about to attempt my first suspension upgrade from original parts. next year she will be 20, I've had it about 3years and I can say she has been good to me, highway & city. what are you guys recommending me as good shocks and struts to purchase. looking to keep the truck as an old school and drives to the lake

Oh, and aside from the fact that you have owned it for three years, can you possibly provide any other information about the vehicle in question, or are you one of those that has no clue about what their vehicle is beyond the color?

Well it's hard to make good recommendations when we don't know anything about the vehicle in question.

I'd recommend different shocks for a 2wd vs a 4x4, lifted vs lowered vs stock, or for a TIB truck vs IFS.

You don't call the Doc up to ask how much asprain you can take and not tell him anything about you except how long you have lived in your current house do you?

Shocks don't affect ride height. Ride height determines the shocks you need, so if you want to lift it shocks may need replaced after the lift.

For a stockish 2wd I would probably go with KYB Gas-A-Justs or Monroe OESPectrum.

ok that's fine, and good info. I'm mainly looking to getting the too ride back so I'm starting with struts and shocks any recommendations for goid set if struts as well

just get some shock absorbers, Rangers don't have struts.

is it lowered, or just sagging?
