oil pan gasket replacement

so I was wondering if it would be easier to remove the tranny than the motor, or even if removing the tranny would allow me to pull out the oil pan.

I pulled mine off and replaced it with just removing the engine it was real easy and a great way to fix any other little/big stuff. mine is an automatic i don't know if a manual would be harder or easier to deal with

Just did this today. Pull the motor. Took four hours by myself. I had an oil pressure issue. Found a completely jammed pick up tube. Scraped some gasket material away just for show.
