I have two spare boosters, one of which is two inches shorter than the original. Any problems with using it to make more room for after market shocks on my race truck? Some pics, first of the two spares, and then of the short one sitting above the stock one.

Any tips or tricks I should be aware of? Like how to set the rod adjustments?

You should be OK with shorter booster.

Diameter gives more assist, deeper gives longer pedal travel, so you want to make sure pedal travel doesn't bottom out on booster instead of Master, lol.
So after install have someone open bleeder while you push down the pedal all the way, should go almost all the way to the floor.

You want about 3/8-1/2" travel on brake pedal before master starts pushing fluid.

Adjust the booster push rod "nut" accordingly, there is some "play" in the system so rod will sits against Master piston, but shouldn't be pushing on it.
