Hello all, from Texas have an 1989 ford ranger 2.3 auto short bed. Been taking it up from a rusted and mismatched panel on it's 3rd bed. Now being restored. If I could ask for help with a fog light mounting. If you have pictures of under the truck of where they bolt into from factory and how the lower valance is cut out for them. What factory lights you have and where the factory mounting for the relay. If you need anything ask. I have a few spare parts even a few from pre coil pack motor.

Looking at swapping the 2.3 speed density to 91 mass air. Seen the write up in tech does not cover 2.3 but essentially the same way I did my 87 5.0.

Hi and welcome to TRS~!

Nice looking truck...not familiar with the fog light mounting on the valence but I read somewhere that they came with them on some trim packages. Not sure if it was introduced in 89 but the valence is the same up to 92 so maybe you might find one if you are still looking.

There is a section on lighting below that might hold the answers...or maybe post there as some members don't look in this section much so it expands your chance of getting an answer.

Welcome

Welcome to TRS, there are so many articles you could get lost trying to catch up. I don't have an answer for your fog lights but wanted to share that I have an 88 I am working on. It's cool to see the earlier year models getting built!

Thank y'all, I got the valance put on and the holes for the fog lights are about 2in to the inside of the frame I put a piece of metal up there and got them temporary mounteduntil I can find the actual mount bracket or whatever it is that locate the fog lights in the correct locations. I will upload a pic. I have a nice set of new 150s but I used 95 explorer lights for driving around on because they are basicly the same size light as the 150s. Easy to find at a junk yard for cheap.
