I have a 1988 ford ranger 2.9l and the compressor cycles off and on at idle. the refrigerant is full because I just put a new condenser discharge line and accumulator and orfice tube on it. At idle the compressor cycles on and off and blows hot air at vents. if you rev it up just a little bit it turns on and stays on and works fine. also driving down the road it works fine and the air is ice cold. only at idle it cycles on and off it has plenty of air flow through the condenser also. I bypassed the WOT relay and it works fine. could it be the relay or the ecm? thanks

That is still a symptom of low on Freon. Have you checked the pressure to make sure it is not low? Just because some work was done on it doesn't mean it has the proper amount of Freon.
