I have a 2011 Ranger 2wd with disc brakes on all wheels. I am replacing all my brakes. I have however been stopped in my shoes be the replacement of the emergency brake shoes. WTH? Is there a special way to install these. I removed one side and small trying to install new ones. Is there a secret combination to this?? Any insight is appreciated.

What exactly is the issue you are having? Everything is tucked behind the axle flange....it's a bit of a fight with the axle still installed but can be done. I usually put the top springs on the 2 shoes and slip them on and install the hold down pins. Then install the lower springs and then the adjuster.

Thanks for your reply. I'm not sure I understand your answer. The main issue that I am having is getting the shoes on that e cable bracket. That long spring can't be put on after the shoes are installed. I've tried installing the shoes with that spring attached but can't spread them far enough to slip on over that bracket. .

Forgive my explanation. It's hard to describe things without proper tech terms.
