Im hoping that somebody could help me figure out how to wire the interior light of a leer camper shell i just purchased to the brake light im guessing. It would save me 60 bucks the dealer is "offering" to charge me, which would help me keep the dollar burgers coming this week. Off of the light there is a 4 pin connector attached. I have no idea how to hook this up, other than guessing that the brake like assembly is going to come off, and I'm going to need some kind of female connector...so, i don't know much!..........

If you wire the canopy's 3rd brake lite into the rangers brake light at the tail light itself, it will blink when you have the signal on on the side you tapped into. Under the power distribution box under the hood, there will be a green wire that is dead ended and tapped to a harness. It is direct power from the brake switch itself. You can run a wire right from there to the back of the truck and up into the tail light and tie that into the canopy. You can run a power wire for the interior light of the canopy one of 2 ways. Off of the park lamp circuit at the tail light or run power right from the battery. If you run it off the park lamp circuit you will have to have the park lamps on to have power at the light. If you run it from the battery you can turn it on as you please. Make sure to put a 5 amp fuse inline as close to the power source as possible.

No problem. I probably wire in at least 1 canopy a week at the dealership.

Thanks again, I got that light wired up pretty easily. Maybe not the cleanest install, but it's on!
