has anyone installed a brake control set up on a gm older than 99? do they make a kit or does 99- gms not have a plug for it? or did you just use a universal wiring harness? (sorry to post this again but i couldnt firgure out how to delete the other one)

I've never seen a plug-in on any truck. My '90 2500 did not have it. My dad's 2006 Dodge 1500 did not have it though it was alluded to in the owner's manual.

It's not a big deal if it doesn't. It needs a ground, a fat power wire and a tap to the brake light switch. There is a fat wire that needs to be routed from the controller to the hitch plug. 10-12 gauge is what I mean by fat. Make sure the grounds are the same.
