Hey fellas, I need a few pictures of the mounting points of a 1st Gen Ranger STX roll bar where it mounts to the bed (4 points). I can't seem to find anything online or pictures that are large enough to see how it is mounted. So if anybody here has a factory STX roll bar can you please take a few snaps (over & under if possible) and post em up here. I looked through the Tech Articles and found nothing about the factory setup. Thanks in advanced.

It looks like there is a pad on the bottom of the rear support bar, are the rest the same?

My rollbar is a Smittybilt but I just drilled holes and bolted the thing on with nuts on the bottom. As far as a backing plate on the other side to support it or whatever... I don't know.

They are just made for lights/looks, not for rollover protection.

Thanks for the input!

Yeah, they're basically are just roof light holders. it's fine because it was only $40 and I'm not gonna use it for hard core off road action.

There is no "under" they were made and sold as "Show bars" not roll bars...

I've seen one or two that were converted to real roll bars by building structure under the bed to mount them to THROUGH the bed, but the workmanship and engineering was to me "Questionable"...

I pulled the single tube/angled support bar style off of a stock single cab and it was mounted to the bed with bolts in each of the holes and some washers. Hardly a roll bar and more of a light bar. Pretty sure they were all like this.

Thanks for the input! I most likely will get some plates made, but nothing crazy.
