And it's been a damn long time since I've been around.

I got screwed over to the tune of 3000 dollars and my entire driveline.

B2 is dead, she's got no engine, no tranny, no transfer case, and the guy who was supposed to do all the work too all my money and ran, and never paid the rebuilders, so i didn't get my driveline back.

So far, I've scraped together 1200 dollars and a Mini-14, know anybody who's got a driveline?

I could scrape by on the transfer case and a transmission (and i'd have to tear the engine out of my twin-tanker with a blown transmission), i Just can't find one in east texas.

Losing hope that I'll ever see it drive again.

I'd definitely be getting law enforcement involved that is theft in multiple ways one he took your $3,000 and 2 he took your engine, transmission, t-case, etc. Overall I'm pretty sure that's all well over $5k and considered grand theft at that point.

Good luck. My Buddy gave a guy 1700 dollars to wire his garage a few years back. The guy never showed up. My Buddy called the cops and they told him he would have to get it back through small claims court.

Of course around here, if it doesn't generate revenue, they couldn't give two poops about your problems.

Doesn't Texas have laws about stuff like this? Ones that say you get to shoot first and ask questions later?

Trespassing only unfortunately ...

I agree that you should find a junked out expo. I'll patrol the local yard in the next few weeks and find what's out there. Lots of explorers there so if you find a running 4.0 you'll be in business.

So find him, knock him cold, throw him in the truck of the car, drive home, pull him out, shoot him, and call it trespassing.

:icon_rofl:

Let your dog have his butt for a few minutes before you shoot him...if you don't have a dog take him to a bull pen, hog tie him with his butt in the air and let the big boys take over...oh, wait, you'd probably have to help them with that...lol

Maybe a pig pen...

Now ya see, that is whats wrong with America, not enough looking out for the other guy and forgiving those that must have a miserable life if they have to steal to get by.

On the other hand, a quote often mistakenly attributed to General Schwarzkopf is probably the best thing for these types of situation.

"It is not up to me to judge a man's actions, that is for God to decide, so for my part I will simply arrange the meeting"

You know, if you generally have a miserable life and can't get by and come ASK me for help, I will bend over backwards to help as much as I can without breaking myself, and I will never ask to be repaid one cent. If you cross the line and start STEALING from me, well there isn't much that I am willing to do for you, and not a lot of sympathy that I am willing to have for you.

So I am going to tell a story one of my customers. I won't put his real name up on the open forum, but anyone can PM me and I'll give you the name so you can Google it and find the story.

Well any way, ol' Mr. C is a nice guy when you talk to him in person, always been nice to me and the guys I work with (his daughter on the other hand...). He has a decent contracting business around here, big house, big contractor's truck that got 80,000 miles on it in 2 years, but was always kept enterprise. Well he got into some financial difficulties.

His kids are my age, or older, so he could have sold his house and bought something smaller. I'm sure thing were easier with his Super Duty, but I know lots of people who do the same level and amount of work out of F-150s and even Rangers, so he could have downsized the truck. His son-in-law is an accountant in town here, so I am sure they could have sat down and gone over the books, see where some money could be saved.

Mr. C doesn't come by the shop with his truck anymore because he was arrested and arraigned a months ago because instead of doing any or all of that he got people to give him money to invest in a local storage unit, that he instead took and paid his own bills with. To the tune of more than 1/4 million.
